There is a statistically significant chance that at some point you will have a major case of the “low back crippler”. I see it every day and it’s no fun. Unable to get off the floor, stand up straight or sleep, the crippler is usually temporary but will mess your life up big time. It will also have a tendency to return if left alone. Lurking in the simple things, like reaching for a toothbrush or lifting a light bag of groceries, underlying issues that you don’t normally feel will leave you wondering “how did this happen? I didn’t even do anything!”
A couple things you can do to prevent the onset of the crippler:
1. Stretch. Stretch gently for longer periods of time for best results. Need help finding the right stretches for your body? Contact an expert
2. Keep your stress level down. Stress aggravates things and will make you more prone to the unexpected flare up.
Do these two things daily and you’ll thank me later. While they won’t actually put your chiropractor out of business, these action steps will make sure that your time with the chiropractor is more useful, more beneficial. You’ll get more out of each adjustment and speed up your pursuit of becoming the best possible you with the healthiest neuromusculoskeletal system.
