Slow Aging With A Little Effort.

Have you looked in the mirror and seen an old person before you are old? Changes in skin, posture, hair and other visible changes with aging are signs that you may want to be more proactive with your healthy lifestyle.

Bad news. We all get old and there’s no potion that will let us live forever. Darn.

Good news.  If you do a handful of positive things among a list of thousands, you will be healthier, happier and live longer than you would have otherwise lived. You can slow aging!

1. Eat Clean. Obvious. Simple. Just a matter of self control. More veggies than meat, fewer liquid calories, organic.

2. Exercise a little. A little bit goes a long way and you don’t need to be a gym rat to benefit. Walk outside. Do some sit ups, push ups, lunges and squats in your living room. Dance around the bedroom for 20 minutes. 20 minutes a day should add measurable time to your life. It’s a matter of planning and self control.

3. Sleep.  Easy one. Too little sleep makes you weak and more susceptible to health issues that may increase your stress and shorten your life.

4. Reduce Stress. Stress comes in physical, mental and chemical forms. Don’t sweat the small stuff, lift with your legs and avoid chemicals in your diet, packaging, body care, etc.

5. Maintain your joints, muscles and nerves. Nerves conduct messages from your brain that control your body. Dysfunctional nerves = Dysfunctional body. Muscles spasm and cause tension and pain.  Joints that are misaligned degenerate prematurely and lead to pain, immobility, ugly posture and a host of other problems.

Tools and techniques exist within healthcare to help you age gracefully with the least amount of impact on your lifestyle.
