If you have had experiences in medical facilities that made you feel like a “rushed number”, you may want to find yourself a small chiropractic office. Small offices often provide you with a level of care that feels different than a large multi doctor business.

A small chiropractic office offers a lot of one on one time, if that’s what you want. So often, patients in larger “factory like” offices feel as though they are not given enough time with the provider. The attitude of small offices is different, it’s not as stressed, it’s dedicated to you and your time to be heard.

A small office also emphasize much of what other types of offices lack, listening and concern for the individual. Because they aren’t focused on fulfilling quotas or paying for expensive overhead, they have less to worry about so they can worry about you. Small offices often have consistent staff, less turnover, and that means more consistency for you. It’s nice to know that when you walk into your providers office, you’ll see a familiar face who knows you and some of your story.

Just because it’s a small office, doesn’t it lacks experience. In fact, they may have more depth to their experience because of the time they spend with people. In a chiropractic office, even seeing 50-100 patients a day could be considered “small”, which means that the doctors still have a great deal of experience after several years of work. Large offices aren’t bad, but they aren’t for everyone. Many people want the quaint, intimate, family feel of an office that feels like the old days of a family doctor who you might have over for dinner or call on a weekend in an emergency.

As a patient, you have to ask what type of environment you want to be spending your chiropractic visits in and then find the office that fits that description. Shop around before making your choice. Then schedule your appointment and fill out the new patient paperwork online.
