Ever feel like there’s no time to take care of yourself, mom? Meet Julie…
As a mom, you’re like an athlete playing several professional sports, and you probably feel like you need to take better care of yourself but you don’t know where to start. You never seem to have enough time, there are a million things that get in the way. Lessons, kids, family, work, cooking, groceries, meetings, friends, illnesses, cleaning if there’s time leftover.
There will always be something that could be used as an excuse to not do what’s best for you, until you wrap your head around making real change. There are a couple steps to this process:
Change your beliefs – the way you think or feel about why and how you need to make the change. When it comes to health, it’s remembering that there’s hope for improvement. You can always improve. You just have to want it bad enough and believe you can do it, then put in the time and effort. Which isn’t always “a ton” of work. If you don’t believe you can do it, it’s going to be tough to make it happen, though.
Change your behavior – implement the action based on your new belief(s) and see the action through to the end. Create a plan that is structured, feasible, and if completed, will basically guarantee improvement.
If you don’t change your beliefs, it’s much harder to have the mental conviction to maintain the action for very long. A strong “wellness team” of professional(s) can help you with all of this. Let’s look at Julie as an example. She’s a super human working mom with 2 young kids and a family. These four things are most important in the majority of our lives. She has an important job that takes a lot of time and effort, and she has an even more important job at home with her family. Julie also has things she loves outside of those two areas. She changed her belief system and she executed a successful plan. Julie learned about what health, wellness, maintenance and performance are all about. She decided that she wanted all fo those things so that she could do everything better.
It was through commitment, hard work, consistency and repetition that she not only achieved what she wanted health wise, but she has also gained control, connectivity, understanding and a greater empowerment that is propelling her toward a better, well rounded life.
It’s not a difficult equation. You and the doctor find out what’s wrong, create a plan of action, follow the plan of action, and begin to move toward better health. You would likely be surprised by how fast your body heals and even excels. As a mom, you need to be there for many people. You have a lot of responsibility and it’s not often easy. You’re like an athlete playing several professional sports, and you probably feel like you need to take better care of yourself but you don’t know where to start. You start by contacting a team with a reputation and track record of helping thousands of patients achieve higher levels of functioning and health without the use of drugs and surgery.
