The Best Adjustment In Portland, Maine

Forget the fluff, does your chiropractor give a good adjustment? What I’m about to do is the equivalent of a magician teaching you the secret to a well known magic trick. This is an insider’s whistleblowing that is intended to help you find the doctor for you. We want you to find a chiropractor who will give you the best adjustment. Chiropractors are like dentists, they are highly specialized and are also limited in their scope of practice. Chiropractors are trained in the identification and correction of vertebral subluxation complex (VSC). VSC, in simple terms, is a state of misalignment of the spine that puts pressure on nerves leading to dysfunction in neurological communication to and from the body and the brain. This communication breakdown can lead to big problems like poor healing, poor regulation and poor control of the body. While not always painful, sometimes it is. VSC is corrected by chiropractors with a chiropractic adjustment, often just called an adjustment. The adjustment is the spinal manipulation. As chiropractors, we’re also trained in physiotherapy (physical therapy) modalities and a number of ancillary therapies that are NOT chiropractic, but more like PT. The only thing that chiropractors do that is...

Pinched Nerve In Your Neck? Try 3 Things "On the spot". Once the pain is gone, call us for answers. Find the cause, improve function, prevent the pain! (207) 774-6251 Dr. Lou Jacobs - Chiropractor - Portland, Maine.

You think you have a pinched nerve in your neck? “On the spot” recommendations for relief! You’ve done something and now it feels like you have a pinched nerve in your neck. What should you do? It’s going to be tough and not advised to diagnose the problem yourself. Very often, muscle spasms will feel like a pinched nerve. The pain may be sharp and twingy, it may even feel hot or electrical, and it will be very hard to turn your head to the side of the pain. Just because the pain feels this way, doesn’t mean it’s a pinched nerve, and this is good news. A true pinched nerve is a serious problem. If a bone or other structure like a disc is directly pinching a nerve, you could be doing serious damage to that nerve in a short period of time. Symptoms may also include numbness, weakness and tingling in the area of the pinching as well as into your neck, shoulders  and arms. You may feel an electrical pain, numbness and tingling into your hands. You may not be able to lift or grip with your hand. More often than not, you have what’s called...

Dr. Lou has helped hundreds of people lose thousands of pounds with his coaching based on truth, hard work, strategy and positivity. It only takes one call. Do it today. Life is short. (207) 774-6251. Coaching client availability is limited.

Belly Fat Guaranteed To Go Away IF You Follow The Rules. Want to lose an inch off your waistline in a few weeks or less? If you follow the rules, there is almost no way that you will not succeed in losing belly fat. In fact, I would argue that it is impossible to fail if you follow these rules. I’ve done it myself, I’ve helped others do it, and it will work for anyone who has “had enough”. Low Carb Diet: No alcohol, no pasta, no sugar. The only carbs you can eat are those in greens. Eat lean meats like fish and chicken. Exercise: Cardio for an hour 4 times a week. 20 minutes of weights or resistance exercises for the large muscle groups 4-5 times a week. What are the large muscle groups? Back, chest, arms, legs. Exercises? Push ups, bicep curls, seated rows, tricep push downs, squats with or without weight. Sleep: Get a lot of sleep. 8 hours a night minimum. Feeding Frequency: Sounds like you’re being treated like a baby? Kind of. Eat small quantities every two hours. Don’t miss a beat. Too much trouble? Don’t lose weight, or exercise more, your choice. Prep meals a couple nights a...

Face Wrinkle Protection While You Sleep. Stop creasing your face! Solutions and more! www.drloujacobs.com

Face Wrinkles – Non-Surgical Prevention! Every night when you go to sleep, you may be adding wrinkles to your face if you do this one big no-no. The solution is simple and costs nothing. Not only is sleeping on your stomach a major cause of neck pain, shoulder pain and headaches, it also causes you to visually age more quickly. Solution: Stop Sleeping On Your Stomach. Not sleeping on your stomach is easier than you might think. My technique, explained in the video below, has helped hundreds, maybe thousands of people switch from their stomach to their back while sleeping. Imagine this. 8 hours a night of smashing your face against a pillow.  Night after night, that pressure adds up and creates and accentuates wrinkles. Imagine this. You sleep on your back and while you are sleeping, your face wrinkles are decompressing and flattening out. Gravity to the rescue. The longterm effect of sleeping on your back may be a smoother face and will certainly reduce your risk of neck degeneration, pain, headaches, shoulder pain and tension. Don’t sleep on your stomach. Dr. Lou Jacobs is a chiropractor in Portland, Maine. He may be reached on twitter @drloujacobs or...

Sciatica pain during pregnancy is fairly common. Evaluation and correction of issues leading to sciatic pain is the job of the perinatal chiropractic specialist. Dr. Lou Jacobs, is that specialist and will prioritize your first visit to get you in as soon as possible. For the fastest service, Call Perinatal & Pediatric Chiropractic of Maine at (207) 553-7776 today!

Sciatica Pain During Pregnancy. Immediate help available! The pain down the back of the leg that seems to start in your low back or glutes could be sciatica. During pregnancy the changes in pelvic and low back positioning can lead to pressure on nerves in the low back. The lower lumbar spinal nerves form the sciatic nerve. If your lumbar spine misaligns, if you have a bulging or herniated disc or have pressure of any kind on those nerves, you may feel sciatica pain. Sometimes, sciatica isn’t “real” sciatica. During pregnancy the muscles of your legs and glutes work extra hard. They get tight. If that tension, in the muscle, causes inflammation or pressure enough to compress the sciatic nerve underneath the piriformis muscle, you may have what’s called “piriformis syndrome.” Piriformis syndrome is much less serious than true sciatica pain coming from the low back, and it is often easily managed so that you are no longer suffering with leg and glute pain. Piriformis syndrome can be helped with trigger point therapy, perinatal chiropractic care and perinatal massage.  Stretching and use of a Theracane at home is also very helpful. For a true sciatica, coming from the lumbar spine, perinatal...
